Website Compliance & Accessibility
Compliance & Accessibility Notice
The Municipality of Mt. Juliet is committed to accessibility, in principle. In practice, the implementation of that commitment has been delegated to a sub-committee that has not convened in some time owing to a scheduling conflict that no one has been able to resolve.
Our Compliance Posture
This website attempts to comply with the relevant accessibility guidelines, the names and version numbers of which are reviewed annually by staff who are reasonably confident they have the right ones. If you encounter a barrier, the Municipality is interested in knowing about it, although the form for reporting such barriers is itself currently under review.
Assistive Technology
The Municipality is broadly aware that assistive technology exists and is used by members of the public. We have heard of screen readers. We have heard of Braille displays. Several staff members have attended a webinar.
Browser Accessibility Features
Most modern browsers include accessibility features that are more thoroughly developed than anything the Municipality has produced. We encourage their use.
If You Encounter a Problem
If a portion of this site is not accessible to you, please be aware that the same is likely true for several other portions, and that we are working through them in an order that is being determined.
This statement should not be construed as a claim of WCAG compliance, ADA compliance, Section 508 compliance, or any compliance whatsoever. It is a statement of intent. Compliance itself is a separate procurement.
